One way for students to construct meaning with a nonfiction text such as Spiders, is to make connections with the text. This mini lesson will show students where to pause and think about text-to-text, text-to-self, and text-to-world connections while reading. In addition, students will have the opportunity to practice making connections between the text on the page and the features of nonfiction.
